Introducing: Jaime

To reach as many Calgary communities as we can, Jaime has joined Antyx as our second Community Outreach Worker! We’re super excited to make new connections, and reach even more youth. Check out her bio below.

Lifelong dancer and arts enthusiast, Jaime has a great deal of respect for creativity and the impact it can make on someone’s life. Jaime has worked in the arts in a variety of positions over the past 15 years such as Performer, Dance Teacher, Youth Facilitator, Youth Program Developer (empowerment programs), and Administrator/Coordinator (professional dance company performances).

Dedicated to her study of Dance, Jaime has taken workshops with and been inspired by many masters, traveled to study different forms of World dance, and also became certified as both a Dancing for Birth instructor (Pre-Natal/Postpartum Dance) and a SEEDS Instructor (Self-Esteem, Empowerment & Education through Dance).

Jaime's focus as a youth program facilitator and creator has always been empowerment, self-love, body positivity, and celebration of ourselves and our communities. As an arts administrator and coordinator, Jaime is motivated by sharing the arts with as many people as possible, removing barriers, and making them accessible to anyone who would benefit.
