The Film Lab Week 4 Sunday: Set Design
Program Description:
Set design is a critical part of the film production process and can make or break a production. It's important to understand how to use scale, perspective, and lighting to create compelling sets that will help tell your story.
In this workshop, you'll learn how to create realistic and compelling sets using simple materials like cardboard, paper, and fabrics.
You'll learn about:
Scale and proportion—how to use them to create the illusion of distance and size on stage or screen
Proper perspective—how the position of an object changes its perception of depth in space
Lighting—how it can enhance mood, time of day/night, and emotion
