Introducing: Abigael Roth

Hello everyone, my name is Abigael Roth!

I am a Social Work student at Mount Royal University finishing up my diploma in Social Work. I am very involved with the Calgary Zoo and have been for about five years. I am engaged to be married to a wonderful man in 2019 as well as having two bird babies named Otis Redding and Tom Rosenthal (Rose).

Q&A:

What’s your favourite memory from childhood?
My dad was a canoe guide for Alberta and a survival instructor when I was young and all my favourite memories as a child involve canoeing with my family or camping in the woods.

What is the best part of your life?
The best part of my life must be my group of fun and positive friends and my family.

What do you think about when you’re alone in your car?
I think about a variety of philosophical theories, social issues, and other things that gnaw at me.

What would you most like to learn and why?
I would like to learn how to read and write (?) hieroglyphics. Because they’re an ancient form of communication that I think is pretty cool.

What is your favourite colour?
My favourite colour is either a mustard yellow, or a forest green.

What do you look forward to most while working with Antyx Community Arts?
I look forward to evolving my own art as well as being able to be involved in the unique programs that Antyx offers.
